Ritham Special School for the Mentally Challenged Children
An organisation which gives free education and transportation to the disabled.
Once the children are enrolled, they are assessed based on their IQ levels. They are then divided into groups. “A 10-year-old child might have a mental growth of 2 years hence we conduct a basic test where we ask the child to say his name, address etc and based on his response categorize accordingly. A moderately child can even write quite well “ says Mr. Venkatramanan

How it all began at Ritham
Mr. Venkatramanan, the founder of Ritham School for Children with Special Needs, is a physiotherapist by profession. He had his own clinic in Rajapalayam, catering to the local villagers. One of his patients, David Samrat, became his first student when he started to teach kids.
