Giving is Living

Nature gives us everything that we need to survive, to enjoy and to live. Infact giving is not only specific to human beings but to every element of nature. The sun gives light to plants, plants give food to us and animals while also giving oxygen to the atmosphere. Oceans and rivers give life to many marine creatures and water to us. Our mother gives us love and care, musicians give their music, artists give their creative expressions to make our world more colorful and pleasant.

Anything beautiful more often than not is born out of giving. Giving is a two-way act providing something to both the receiver and the giver. Sample this - a tree gives out oxygen to give us life and the carbon dioxide that we exhale is used back by the trees. Musicians also enjoy while making music, they get joy and so do we when we listen to their expressions. Mother also gets satisfaction and happiness when she takes care of her child. Giving is a two way affair and its is present in the very fragment of our existence.

Remember, last time you gave something and try to recall how you felt and how the other person felt and you’ll observe the beauty of giving. Giving is an integral part of our lives, how we as human being survive on this planet. Anyone in this entire universe who stops giving, actually stops to live. When would sun stop giving light? Only when it dies! The moment we as individual stop giving away, we are walking closer to our own graves. It is of little importance what you give - money, time, love, care, knowledge or your joy - the act of giving itself is more important. Our moments of true happiness and satisfaction are those related to giving-receiving something.

So, will it be an exaggeration to say that giving is living?
