We are proud to let you know that 4 of our NGOs are regional winners at the India NGO Awards 2009.

SMALL
SShrishti - NORTH
Salaam Balak Trust, Mumbai - WEST

MEDIUM
Dream A Dream - SOUTH
Network for Enterprise Enhancement & Development Support (NEEDS) - EAST

As you can see these NGOs came from across the length & breadth of India. In addition, GiveIndia was shortlisted in the LARGE category.

We would especially like to congratulate Salaam Balak Trust, Mumbai who emerged as the national winner in the SMALL category.

The India NGO Awards organised by the Resource Alliance and supported by The Rockefeller Foundation have been instituted to advance India's non-profit sector by recognising and felicitating those organisations that have demonstrated best practices in creative resourcing, financial management, governance and impact in the community.  The Awards have been instituted in 3 categories- small, medium and large based on annual budgets of organisations and three National Winners were finally selected from amongst 15 Regional Winners - each doing exemplary work.

All the regional winners could also submit applications for the Global Awards for Fundraising. And we are extremely excited to let you know that GiveIndia’s India Giving Challenge has been shortlisted for the Innovative Fundraising Campaign award at the Global Awards. These awards will be announced during the International Fundraising Congress from 19th-22nd Oct in Netherlands. We are keeping our fingers well and truly crossed and wait with bated breath in anticipation! Do wish us luck!
