It is unfortunate that your relief eforts are only restricted to Andhra Pradesh, despite the fact that the impact was many times higher in Karnataka and nearly 225 ppl died against 55 in AP. This type of descrimination is condemnable

Dear anonymous,

GiveIndia is partner to 200+ NGOs all over India. So far, only a few of our Andhra Pradesh based NGOs have told us that they are carrying out flood relief work. They have then set up their own iGive pages to receive donations.

We have not heard from any of our Karnataka based NGOs yet but when we do, will certainly include them on the flood relief page.

There is no discrimination involved.

the statement only AP NGOs asked & Karnataka NGOs did not, it hard to be believed. Anyways, in a crisis situation like this instead of waiting the K'taka NGOs to ask, why cant you advise them to get engaged. Anyways you are collecting funds both in them name of Karnataka & AP, so you have the responsibility of distributing the money to both the states. As long that is not done, it is descrimination !!!

Dear Mr Kamath,

We assure that what we are saying is true and that we have absolutely no reason to be biased towards one region or the other. On Saturday, our Karnataka based NGOs were sent a mail asking if they were involved in flood relief.

We do not decide how these funds will be allocated. The donor has already chosen.

Showing partiality even during the question of life and death is unpardonable... karnataka has suffered much much more than AP, kindly all the affected people equally.

The job of collector is also to see that they chose NGOs.

just becuase Karnataka NGOs did not approach is not a reason to restrict to any one region. this way this is no different from UPA politics of AP Vs Karnataka.

GiveIndia does not allocate money on behalf of the donors. The donors are choosing the NGOs where the money is to be sent. It is a platform which allows the NGOs to raise funds and for the donor to donate to the NGO of their choice.
If you are aware of any Karnataka NGOs which are working on flood relief do encourage them to also set up iGive pages on GiveIndia so that you can donate to them as well.

A Bijapur based NGO has set up an iGive page to help flood victims in Karnataka.
