The sluice gate at Vallabhapuram village of Kollipara Mandal has been washed off today, and as a result Atthalurivari Palem and Kammavari palem villages are flooded. Likewise, at least 6 villages of Bhattiprolu Mandal are submerged following breaches to the bunds along the banks of the river, while the officials fear that Repalle town will also be affected.

So far, 74 villages are completely sub merged, while 46 villages are badly affected and have no links with other villages. The dist officials have estimated that another 124 villages are likely
