All the monies have been counted, all the cheques are in the bank and now we can bring you the winners of the India Giving Challenge.
WNS is the Corporate Champion and Parivaar Education Society is the NGO Champion for India Giving Challenge 2009. NGOs supported by WNS will earn a total matching grant of Rs10lac while Parivaar Education Society receives a matching grant of Rs8lac.
In the other categories, ICICI Securities emerged as the corporate winner with the most number of unique donors and Svechha Foundation emerged as the NGO winner with the most number of unique donors. Here we would like to especially recognize the efforts of WNS who had the most number of unique donors with 3,100+ donors and Vidyarambam who had 400+ donors. The limitation of one prize per NGO meant that they could not be considered again as they had already won prizes in other categories.
In terms of overall numbers this is what was achieved:
100 NGOs
14 corporates
5,127 unique donors
Rs. 91,41,541 raised
and 33 NGOs have won matching grants amounting to Rs. 56,57,777!
