We know we've said this before, but we LOVE it when donors write to us with feedback. Of course the positive ones are welcome but so is negative feedback - it helps us improve, and it helps us serve our donors and NGOs better. So donors, friends, blog readers -- keep the mail coming!
We got a great email from Shishir B, a Bangalore based software engineer. He says:
"I am extremely happy that I am a part of the GiveIndia family now. I feel proud that whatever money I have donated has gone to the needy without any mishandling.
This is the only channel wherein I have trust and faith that everything is utilized in a correct way and moreover the feedback even after 6-8 months what we get about how the money spent is great.
I came to know about GiveIndia about 3-4 years back when I wanted to donate small amount. But I didn’t have the time to reach out to NGOs. So at that point I came across GiveIndia and another NGO. The other NGO was not appealing as they put all donations in to a general fund. But in GiveIndia the donations were cause wise. So I liked GiveIndia a lot and from that day I decided to donate using GiveIndia.
I normally donate for the physically disabled and elderly. People with a physical disability cannot earn a living for themselves and they have to be dependent on someone else for basic things like food and medicines. A disability is not something a person chooses.
In the case of the elderly, I feel that in their younger days they would have worked hard and now they are old and cannot work and don't have anyone to care for them. Remember that even we will get old and even we may have to suffer.
I have promoted GiveIndia to many of my friends and even they are doing their bit of contributions.
